Liverpool's first celebration of it's four famous sons actually lasted for one day; 29th August 1981. Just five bands
performed, and original Cavern Club DJ Bob Wooler was there as host.
Since then, there has been one every year, with more bands
and guest speakers being added as the festival grew in popularity.
Beatle Week is usually held the last between the last week of August and the first week of September. Every day
is filled with live music from Beatle bands from around the world, as well as other tribute acts.
